A cancer diagnosis often brings an immediate wave of questions — logistical, emotional, and informational — long before answers are fully available in the medical system. Cancer Support Coaching offers a non-medical support session designed to provide clarity, grounding, and practical guidance during this difficult moment. This service is intentionally structured as standalone support, providing a focused space to ask questions, understand what to expect, and feel more prepared — without replacing medical care or creating an ongoing treatment relationship. Additionally, for those navigating life changes, Menopause Wellness Coaching can also provide essential guidance and support.
Sessions for Cancer Support Coaching can be booked by individuals diagnosed with cancer or by family members, partners, or close friends seeking non-medical support and guidance on how best to assist someone they love. This coaching provides education and support around common concerns such as:
- What to expect after a new cancer diagnosis
- Understanding common oncology terminology
- Preparing for chemotherapy or radiation days
- Practical guidance on what to pack for treatment sessions
- Education on commonly discussed supplements (non-prescriptive)
- Lifestyle and comfort strategies during treatment (educational only)
- Managing common challenges like fatigue, appetite changes, nausea, and stress (education-based)
- Questions to ask oncology providers
- Supporting a loved one through diagnosis or treatment
- Helping caregivers and family members feel more informed and less overwhelmed
Cancer Support Coaching is offered as single, standalone sessions aimed at providing non-medical support to individuals and families navigating the complexities of a cancer diagnosis.
Session length: 60 minutes
Format: Virtual
Frequency: One-time sessions (additional sessions may be booked individually if desired)
These sessions are designed to provide orientation and clarity, not ongoing coaching, counseling, or medical management. Cancer Support Coaching is best suited for individuals or families who:
- Are early in the diagnosis or treatment journey and feel overwhelmed
- Want education and practical guidance between medical appointments
- Are seeking calm, informed support without medical decision-making
- Prefer a focused, time-limited session rather than ongoing care
- Want to feel more prepared when engaging with their oncology team
This service is meant to complement, not replace, care provided by licensed oncology professionals and does not include:
- Medical advice or diagnosis
- Cancer treatment recommendations
- Prescription medications
- Laboratory or imaging interpretation
- Alternative cancer treatment planning
- Psychotherapy or crisis counseling
All medical decisions should be made in partnership with a licensed oncology provider. Cancer Support Coaching is a non-medical, educational service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment plans, or prescription medications. Clients should continue all cancer-related care with their licensed oncology providers. Additionally, for those interested in holistic approaches, Menopause Wellness Coaching can further enhance your overall well-being.

Meeting Sam changed the game for me. Through her Cancer Support Coaching and Menopause Wellness Coaching, she took the time to actually listen to everything that was happening with me. Instead of quickly attributing my concerns to 'oh that' perimenopause and suggesting I just have to deal with it, we explored different ideas for tackling my issues. Some of it was trial and error, and I truly appreciate her being with me every step of the way. This is literally the best I have felt in a long time. It was a breath of fresh air to be heard and to know there were solutions to my issues, not just suffering, thanks to her non-medical support.
“Samantha understands that cancer survivorship changes everything. She took the time to review my history, explain the ‘why’ behind every recommendation, and create a plan that felt both safe and sustainable. The focus wasn’t just weight loss—it was on metabolic health, recovery, and resilience, aligning perfectly with her Cancer Support Coaching and Menopause Wellness Coaching expertise. I felt respected, informed, and genuinely cared for throughout the process, receiving non-medical support that truly made a difference.” ~ Lindsey K.
Sam has been an incredible provider in my journey through Cancer Support Coaching. She truly listens and takes every concern seriously, never brushing anything off or making me feel uncomfortable for what I'm experiencing. Her empathy and calm presence make such a difference during a season that can feel confusing and overwhelming, particularly in the context of Menopause Wellness Coaching. I felt heard, supported, and confident in my care. I'm so grateful for her non-medical support. ~ Jen D.
